LONDONDERRY - All present and former volunteers at the South Londonderry Free Library are invited to be feted on Wednesday, July 18, at 6 p.m. at the library.

Volunteers are an important part of the library staff and the Trustees and librarian would like to express gratitude for all their help.

Other members of the community who think they would like to join the wonderful world of books by volunteering, would be most welcome to attend also. Primary volunteer duties are managing the circulation desk. This includes greeting patrons, checking out books, shelving books, reminding patrons of their overdue books and keeping a daily log.

Current volunteers include Carol Barclay, Dalen Cole, Ginny Noor, Peggy Upton, Marge Malko, Paul Myers, Geff Newell and Jan Gordon. Three of these volunteers are also board members and the remaining Trustees are to be thanked for the overall smooth operation of the library - Gun Burns, Rich Lombardi, Laura Megroz, Mary Sikes and Mimi Wright.
