According to a press release from the Vermont State Police, troopers responded to Clark's IGA for a report of incident involving a customer, Terrance Slade, 47, of Londonderry, and an employee, Rose Holcomb, of Wardsboro. The police investigation revealed that Slade bought a soda from the store and after paying for it, opened it up and poured it on Holcomb's head and back while she was turned around.

Slade was issued a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date for disorderly conduct.
