WEST ARLINGTON - Clar B. Vaughn, 80, a resident of River Road died Thursday, June 7, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Vaughn was born in Pittsfield, Mass. on May 3, 1932, she was the daughter of Edwin P. and Elva (Wilcox) Morrison. For many years she had been the Dental Hygienist at Arlington and Sunderland Schools and had worked at Christmas Days in Sunderland.

Mrs. Vaughn was a member of the Chapel on the Green, Arlington Garden Club, Martha Canfield Library, Southern Vermont Art Center, D.A.R. and many farming associations, in earlier years, she had been a Brownie leader.

She leaves her daughter Sheree Vaughn-Tucker of Ludlow, brother Terry Morrison of Trophy Club, Texas, grandchildren Gavin Vaughn-Tifft, Carley Ann Vaughn-Tifft , George B. Tucker Jr. and DeVaughn Bell, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Millard Vaughn, son Bruce Vaughn, daughter Sylvia Vaughn and brother Parker Morrison.

Graveside services will be private at the family lot in the West Arlington Cemetery.
