Ordinary citizens helped direct traffic until police could arrive on the scene at Malfunction Junction Friday morning.
Traffic was snarled at Malfunction Junction - the intersection of Routes 7A and Depot Street in Manchester Center Friday morning when a pedestrian crossing Depot Street was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

According to the Manchester Police Department, the pedestrian, Janet Seidenburg, of Long Lake. Minn, was taken to the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington and subsequently released.

The driver of the vehicle, a 2003 Saab, was Molly Dexter of Manchester.

An investigation into the accident was continuing as of Friday evening, according to the police.
