BONDVILLE — On Friday, May 22, the Mountain School at Winhall in Bondville is hosting its Fourth Annual Memorial Day Celebration. Students and staff invite all area veterans, both active duty and reserve military, to attend.

A breakfast will be served at 9 a.m., followed by special guest speakers and student performances to honor the men and women who have served our country; an honor guard form the Vermont National Guard will be on hand to present the colors.

Guests are encouraged to wear their uniforms and insignia and to bring memorabilia representative of their service if they'd like. Classroom visits following the performances are encouraged. Additionally, family members of fallen heroes are welcome to come to~memorialize their loved ones and to honor their ultimate sacrifices.

In order to properly honor all guests, the Mountain School asks all veterans and families who plan on attending to call the school office at 297-2662 to provide their name, branch of service, and conflict or war served in, if applicable, by Friday, May 15 at 4:00 p.m., if at all possible. A special take-home program will be created honoring our guests.
