SALEM, NY - Get into the holiday spirit at a special open house at Gardenworks on Nov. 10. Music will be provided by Impromptu, a talented, all-female barbershop quartet, performing a medley of holiday tunes beginning at 2 p.m. Sample some favorite recipes for holiday dining, including creamy squash bisque with curry and pound cake with raspberry sauce. Recipes will be available. There will also be free samples of easy appetizers, cheeses and treats for holiday entertaining. The Holiday Fare sampling begins at 11 a.m.

The Gardenworks' barn will be decorated for the holidays, with greenery, ornaments, and local and hand-made gifts. Catch the holiday spirit while sipping free warm mulled cider and pick up ideas for holiday decorating.

Look for holiday craft workshops, beginning with a Holiday Wreath, Kissing Ball or Table Tree Workshop on Dec. 1. Call to pre-register for this class. Gardenworks is a family-owned flower and specialty crop farm that has been part of the Washington County landscape for nearly a century.
