MANCHESTER - The Southern Vermont Arts Center has announced that several new members have joined their administrative staff.

Chester Kasnowski joined SVAC as Gallery Director in May. An accomplished artist, Kasnowski has worked as an art instructor, curator, film critic, lecturer and art reviewer. His works are in numerous private collections as well as museums such as the Museum of Modern Art, NY; the Guggenheim Museum, NY; the Tate Gallery, London; and the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam.

Anne Saplin has taken on the role of Director of Development. Saplin brings to the Southern Vermont Arts Center a broad background in nonprofit administration and development. Most recently the associate director of stewardship at Brown University, she has served as vice president for administration at the Council for Aid to Education, director of special events at San Francisco's public broadcasting station KQED, and assistant director of the annual fund at Stanford University. Saplin is an avid knitter and some of her LocoKnits creations can be found in the Museum gift shop.

Jennifer Grigsby is acting as Public Programs Coordinator where she oversees performing arts events in the Arkell Pavillion as well as art workshops in the studios. Grigsby worked for MTV Networks in NYC before moving to Manchester five year ago. She worked in Special Education at Manchester Elementary and Middle School for two years, and ran the Drama camp at The Long Trail School for one summer.

Weir joined on as Coordinator of Events and Marketing. She will handle communication and marketing for the museum as well as overseeing private events held on the SVAC campus. Weir was previously Long Trail School's Director of Communications.
