RAWSONVILLE - Two employees of Equipe Sport's Mtn. Riders stores, Nate Rand, who manages the Mount Snow location, and Jon Woodell, snowboard manager at the Rawsonville and Ludlow stores, have set out to restore Hurricane Irene-damaged sections of the West River bike trail in Bondville, Rawsonville and Jamaica.

"It was their idea, and it was a good one," said Equipe owner, Wilbur Rice. "They ride frequently and wanted to help bring the trail back. They started the trail work on their own time, once or twice a week. When I heard what they were doing, I encouraged them to keep it up and do the trail work on company time if they'd like. And they liked it! It's a fun project and we hope it will have a positive impact on the local mountain bike community."
