The camp is designed for 6-12 year old young thespians interested in playwriting, producing and acting in their own original plays.
The camp will take place from July 15 through July 26. Camp Tuition is $300 with limited scholarships available through the DTF Giving Back programs.
James Howe's first book was "Bunnicula: A Rabbit Tale of Mystery," a story about a pet rabbit suspected of being a vampire. Bunnicula soon evolved into a series.
DTF campers will learn the basics of playwriting, be invited to a special interactive "backstage" tour of the Dorset Theatre Festival's scenic, costume and producing shops, as well as attend a matinee performance of DTF's Barefoot in the Park by Neil Simon including a special talk back with the actors afterwards.
Howe will also join the campers for a public performance of their original work at the United Church of Dorset on July 26 at noon, and in a special event - Bunnicula And Friends, the work of James Howe - at Northshire Bookstore on July 27 at 11 a.m.
