MANCHESTER - Create with Bogate, a children's arts and craft studio, is offering winter classes for children in preschool through grade five. The popular Sewing Fundamentals class take place on Fridays, beginning Jan.18, with grades one and two from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and grades three through five from 4:45-5:45 p.m. Children will learn both hand and machine sewing techniques.

The Play with Clay class will explore hand building by pinching, coiling, slab-building, and/or hand sculpting clay. This class is offered on Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 23, from 3:30 -4:45 p.m. and is for children in grades K - 3.

The new Preschool Art class will include making art, reading a story and a short snack break. The focus of the class will be on the process of making art, experimentation with materials and fostering creativity.

This class will meet on Tuesdays, beginning Jan. 22, from 10 -11:15 a.m. and is for children ages three- to five-years-old. Classes are very small; limited to only four to six children.

All after school classes in this winter session end the week of Feb. 11, the week prior to area schools' winter break.
