MANCHESTER >> Caroline Hogan will portray Rosencrantz in Shakespeare on Main Street's 2016 summer production of "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead," by Tom Stoppard. She is in her sixth year with the organization. Having grown up partly in Vermont, she received her BA in English Literature at Houghton College, and moved to Poultney shortly thereafter. She is currently studying library and information science and book arts at The University of Iowa, with plans to work in special collections librarianship and book conservation.
An actor for more than eight years, Hogan has played many roles including Desdemona in 'Othello,' Luciana in 'The Comedy of Errors' (with SoMS); Abigail in 'The Crucible', Dr. Freud in 'Watson: The Last Great Tale of the Legendary Sherlock Holmes' (with The Dorset Players); and Lady Macbeth in a Shakespeare Under Lock & Key production of 'Macbeth' performed by a mostly-inmate cast at Great Meadow Correctional Facility in Comstock, N.Y. She is a book and costume artist and is continually inspired, both in life and in art, by Shakespeare's words and stories.
