MANCHESTER >> For those who might miss the buzz of the city or prefer to visit when there isn't a Northeaster or ust miss the city ambiance, come to Tilting at Windmills Gallery and have the fun of visiting the Big Apple without the hassle of travel.
Three artists have had fun preparing scenes that portray different aspects of the city life for viewers to enjoy. Gerald Lubeck's lovely "Bagel Lady" and vignettes sing city streets and museums, while Steven Stroud has come up with a presentation of "peoplescapes" depicting scenes from Grand Central Station that are examples of different travelers at different times of the week. Then there is new to Tilting's group, artist John Traynor, who is definitely not a new artist. He comes with a long list of collectors and awards for many years. His work depicts the city streets and buildings in all types of scenarios with a leaning towards the nostalgic feelings of the city life.
The show promises to be a novel collection for viewing pleasure on Valentine's Day and on President's Week-end. The date is Saturday, Feb. 13 from 4:30-7 p.m.
