This tradition of generosity is being celebrated through a major new exhibition at SVAC's Elizabeth de C. Wilson Museum, which opened Saturday, May 3.
Titled "The Artists of Southern Vermont: A Fresh Look," the exhibition presents important works from the Permanent Collection that have been unseen for decades, with profiles of the artists as well as the donors who created the collection.
A Fresh Look will continue through July 20. Also debuting on May 3 are several exhibitions at SVAC's Yester House. Sky, a group exhibition; solo shows by Angela Arkway, Caryn King, Jessica Yager and Robert Sydorowich as well as a photographic exhibit of historic painted theatre curtains by the Vermont group "Curtains Without Borders." Lastly is the return of the Collector's Gallery, showcasing choice works for sale by SVAC member artists.
The Southern Vermont Arts Center is located on West Road in Manchester, Vermont, one mile north of the Equinox Resort.
