"Silenced on Barbour Street" features a cast of 21 students from grades 8-12 and two student technicians. It is an intensely dramatic piece recounting the story of the 1944 circus fire in Hartford, Conn. that took the lives of 168 people. The students chose this story, since they were moved by the tales of survivors and wanted an acting challenge.
