DORSET - With the increase in enrollment of international students, Long Trail has hired Jennifer Jabareen as a full time English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher. While two students are returning to the school from China and Korea, thirteen new students arrived last week.
LTS welcomed nine students from China and one each from Germany, Denmark, Chile and Honduras.

MANCHESTER - Vermont Reading Partners will hold its School Program Tutor Training Workshop at the Bank of Bennington Conference Room in Manchester on Sept. 16, 21, and 23 each day from 1 to 4 p. m. The goal of the three-afternoon workshop is to train volunteers to become Reading Partners and to assist students selected by the school with reading and writing.
